Were you caught out, by this year's UTV's April Fool when Business Editor Jamie Delargy announced controversial new road proposals which included:

1.  Road Charging starting at £1 and 'Accelerating'

2. Limiting Road Access based on car registration or colour

3. Permitting Cycles Access to Motorways

We were! Perhaps it because we put nothing past this money grabbing administration, perhaps because the motorist is always the first to be clobbered, perhaps because Stormont hasn't yet proposed a single positive policy or perhaps we have just lost our sense of humour temporarily.

The unfortunate thing about this report is that whilst it is an April's Fool this year, it will no doubt be a Stormont policy next year.

....but for the moment Jamie, thanks for the wake up call!
