News: NI Jobs Crisis?
With the new
Northern Ireland Assembly now in place,
the public's attention will now be drawn
to their ability to resolve our economic
and employment woes.
On the day our
MLA's were returned, there were only
1041 Jobs available on their Job Centre
Online Website, for the whole of
Northern Ireland. 1041 Jobs for nearly
60,000 unemployed people and these are
only the ones that are counted in the
official unemployment figures.
In another unusual
turn the official Job Centre Online
Website for Northern Ireland is now
advertising jobs in the rest of Ireland
(Photo Banner Above).
Unfortunately,
this move is viewed by some as a desperate
attempt to up the number of advertised
jobs. Northern
Ireland is expecting great things from
these new MLA's and Simply Belfast is
currently drafting proposals to help our
new politicians deal with what is
essentially a Jobs Crisis, that is set
to get much worse!
