News: DUP Hacked Off!
The police have been called into
investigate three DUP websites hacked and translated into Irish.
The hacker who has been described in the media as a 'language activist'
amended the site to show Peter Robinson introducing himself in Irish.
The text read:
'Is mise Peadar Robinson agus tugaim tacaiocht don Acht na Gaelige' which translates as 'I am Peter Robinson and I support an Irish Language Act'.
Given the nature of the hack and that Irish language legislation has been a source of friction between the DUP and Sinn Fein, it would appear
to some that the hacker is more of a political activist than a language activist.
