The company indicate on their website that they are
responding to customer demand and that 'Norfolkline and PayPal consumers can now
pay for their ferry bookings online with their PayPal account without incurring payment charges'.
In an online statement the company's eBusiness Manager, Declan Walsh states:
'At Norfolkline we try to respond to our customers’ needs to the fullest and the addition of PayPal as a payment method on our ferry booking website is in response to customer demand. We believe that the addition of PayPal as a payment mechanism on our websites will not only improve customer service, but will result in increased sales volumes, especially from our continental markets where credit card penetration is significantly lower than the UK.'
