Property News NI: No More Halifax Property Services

It's all change once again in the Belfast property market as Lloyds Banking Group, owners of the Halifax agree to sell Halifax estate agents also known as Halifax Property Services, to LSL Property Services for just £1.

Halifax estate agents has 218 offices throughout the UK, with banking facilities in 121 branches. As part of the re-branding all Halifax banking counters and ATM's located in/at estate agents will close. As part of the £1 sell-off Lloyds stated that the 1,050 employees would be transferred to LSL after the sale and that 460 jobs would go, 360 of which would be full-time positions.

Change is Coming and what were once Halifax Property Services Branches will be rebranded to one of LSL's existing brands: Your Move, Reeds Rains or Intercounty.

With the Ballyhackamore branch in East Belfast already closed prior to the sell off it will have no effect in the East of the City, but South Belfast will see the Cregagh Road and Lisburn Road branches, rebranded and other branches affected will include Lisburn, Comber, Newtownards and Bangor, to name just a few.
